Create your own Artist’s Journal

Create your own Artist’s Journal

Create your own artist's journal by Erin O'Toole

The main idea behind my book is to start close to home and expand out. First draw in your own backyard then your neighborhood, on to travels and finally sharing your work. The book starts with how to make your own book and basic materials. Gardens, birds and bugs can usually be found close at hand. Going out in your own neighborhood with a book and pencil is a small step to drawing in public. When you begin going on field trips to parks, zoos and gardens your journal fills with life. Taking a trip with journaling in mind takes a bit of planning and some work when you return. Then let the sharing begin.
